I thought that I could give a huge sigh of relief that I am in the final trimester for our 2nd bun but last night, it was horrible. Complete baking at about 10 at night and turned in at about 11. Awoken at midnight with hives attacking every single part of my body inclusive of the face! My left eye swells and I was running to and fro the bed and toilet. It was not fancy. I repeat, NOT fancy.
I belch and each time I do, the stomach twists (even I thought it was contractions!), bun kicks hard and the hives get itchier! This went on till up to 2 plus in the morning. Just when I thought I could have a peaceful sleep before my alarm goes off at 5, my firstborn wakes up requesting for milk. I was indeed lucky as the Mister was around last night to assist (with me jolting him hard of course!).
Just to wrap up last night, I thought giving birth was the longest ordeal but this, definitely beats the punch. I just hope the little bun inside is doing fine. He/She has been kicking hard today just to ensure this kancheong Mama that he/she is okay. Alhamdulillah.

My labour experience
The ever long awaited labour story. Summarized. Well, I try to.
18 May 2013
On this day, we, the husband and I, went to our new abode intending to clean it one last time before our furniture arrives. Aside from being a total bloated penguin, I could not bare to see the husband doing all the cleaning while I lean and supervise. Thus, I just helped with mopping our master bedroom. Assure you, that was all that I did (for our house).
Sidetrack: Earlier on, I just cleaned the toilet at my in-law's place. Of course, I was nagged at but I could not care much cause I guess the 'nesting' instinct is kicking in.
After cleaning, we head out to fetch FIL back from work. Upon reaching my in-law's place, I tried walking but felt my pelvic region so tight and that if I were to take another step, something might snap (or so I thought). No pain, nothing, just tightness.
I tried to hold my position for awhile but it was so awkward. Though at midnight, no one will be walking around and sorts but to have your spouse waiting for you to walk & let's be factual, how long are you gonna stand there and hold, right? So I took a step. And I felt water trickling down my legs and the "tightness" was gone. I used my fingers to check if it was blood & was assured that it was a clear fluid.
At this point of time, I wasn't in panic but the husband was. He knocked on my SIL's bedroom (who was asleep already by the way) and started asking her questions. I was given a bottle of air Zam Zam by FIL. The husband & SIL both seated in the living room talking about what to do next. SIL wasn't sure but she shared that her waterbag broke twice and only then she headed to the hospital. I wasn't in pain, let me remind you. We talked and listen to her labour experience & that's when I felt like I need to rush to the toilet.
Before I could remove my pants, water gushed out. Scary. My legs were shaking trying to adapt to what just happened. Finally calmed down, cleaned and changed. Told them what happened & I started to feel contractions streaming in irregularly. So instead of sitting down and talk, I was pacing about to ease the pain. That was finally when SIL said we should go to the hospital since I was already pacing and feeling contractions.
-----
Okay, let me rest here for awhile on the labour experience.
Next entry shall be the continuance.
Love to keep you hanging. Muack muack.

Babymoon
What's babymoon?
Babymoon, most recently the term has come to be used to describe a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby.
Mister was so kind to grant my wish. I had wanted to go for a short vacation before the baby arrives & the house as well, you know, before we are all busy preparing for our next chapter. He surprised me with this idea of a cruise to Malacca/KL. Eventhough it is a short vacation of 2 nights, I am well contented. Looking at the brochure, excited gila! And 19th of this month, we're going for it. Heh. Quick look on the pictures attached to the brochure.

Into 2nd trimester!
Let's welcome me to 2nd trimester! 12 weeks & 3 days as of today. Yay! Confetti please!
Morning sickness subsided. Another yay! Energy level increased by about 25%. Appetite increased but only sometimes. Massive headache early in the morning (must stay in bed awake for a good half hour before getting up).
In other words, alhamdulillah, we are 3 months plus now & definitely starting to show.
Maybe due to 2 sacs in the tummy.
I have researched online regarding this. 2 sacs in the tummy. 1 with baby & another empty. It basically means, we've conceived 2 (twins) but only 1 is strong enough to grow. Saddened by the research but hey, I should be happy about being able to conceive, right? Heh. My other worry is just the empty sac. Will it go away (as in absorbed by my body) or I have to discharge it? I can't imagine having clots discharged again cause I've had that & it was very much painful! Aside from the fact that I will be shakened with the sight of BLOOD.
Let's just hope when the next scan in January, I only have 1 sac. Please oh please.

Hey little bun,
Earlier today, we saw you. Both your father & I. You didn't move & the nurse could not locate your heartbeat which of course worries all of us in the room. There were tension for awhile until you finally moved after I was told to cough twice.
The nurse assured what we saw by saying that you are moving :)
But that's not all of course. You moved, stood, moved your limbs & turned your back to us! So glamorous of you to show your butt to all of us in the room. Haha.
All in all, I wanna say thank you my little bun. Scheduled for a gender scan on our anniversary date of knowing each other, 11 January. Waiting anxiously for that day, baby. Meanwhile, grow strong & healthy.

Down's Syndrome Test
Well, before I begin, let's cheer for 2nd trimester ( which is coming soon!)
At this point of time my mind is cluttered with information on the down's syndrome test.
Let me explain.
We are scheduled for the next scan on 14th Nov but Mister is scheduled for a course unfortunately. Thus, the call to KKH for re-scheduling. Upon the call, I was informed that the scan had to be made before 2nd trimester (read: 12 weeks). On that 14th, little bun would have been 11 weeks 3 days along. So, we're stuck! The nurse went on to explain that the purpose of the scan is for down's syndrome test. All the more I panicked. So, to come to a decision, I just let the appointment be & Mister had to request for a change in date for his course. And that's settled.
Being me, I googled on to find out about the down's syndrome test & reading on, I was contemplating.
Firstly, if happens to be positive, further invasive tests to be done.
Second, even if it is to be positive, how would we take the news? what can we do to prevent it? 6 more months to think about it.
Lastly, shouldn't we just accept little bun as how he/she is? Bersyukur atas pemberian dariNya.
So, I asked around & many said it is optional. Both of us decided that we shall NOT do the down's syndrome test.
For those who wants to know more, you may proceed to http://www.kkh.com.sg/HealthPedia/Pages/PregnancyTestsFirstTrimesterScreening.aspx.
Till next time!

Yesterday was an emotional night for me. But before I start, maybe I should explain this.
The past few weeks, I have had trouble eating. Nothing tastes right, nothing that the throat can accept, nothing smells right and I really mean nothing. BUT! when I feel like eating something, I can gobble it up like I've not been fed for years. Needless to say, I was too much to handle even for myself.
So last night, Mister being his caring and concern self, questioned me on what I want for dinner ( yay! No need to cook!). I've requested for cheese prata & some indian rojak. I know. Glutton me. So when he came home, I started gobbling up the indian rojak and next, the cheese prata. One bite of that cheese prata with curry, I swear I could hurl! I teared holding it back. It wasn't fun. So, I apologized to Mister and said that I could not finish it. And he compromised with,"Later you continue."
Just when I took my last dose of medication for the day, Mister reminded me to finish up my cheese prata. I told him that I will finish it tomorrow. His facial expression changed & I received a big lecture about eating for two now. Serves me right.
I mean, I am sorry to trouble him to get me the cheese prata for me but the taste just makes me sick. Saddened by the whole situation, I sat at the dining table for almost 45 minutes to finish it up. So you see, it was that emotional! I went back to our bedroom & Mister was already fast asleep. Knowing him, I just apologized & he instantly replied. Politely this time.
So we turned in but I was too sad that I cried myself to sleep. When morning came, I thought to myself, why was I so sad that I have to cry that badly? A friend of mine once said that it is due to the hormones. Seriously? Sigh. I hope, there is no more of this feeling.

7 weeks 4 days
I can't help it but to blog whenever possible (which is everyday now, apparently).
The day is as usual only that Mister brought me to get breakfast in the morning before heading to work.
The backache is now very persistent.
Maybe because I had been very lazy, sitting & lying down or may be pdue to this pregnancy.
All in all, nothing much has changed besides the back ache & belly itching.
Maybe it is time for me to invest on lotions to help with future stretch marks?
Mind you, my pants are already suffocating me.
Due to my plum nature, I am unable to tell if I am starting to show or otherwise.
Sigh. I worry to much. Hah.
This entry was supposed to be about Mister.
How understanding he had been, how caring, etc etc etc.
For example, aside from helping me with dishes & laundry...
Mister never fails to send me to work, worry for my safety, ask if I am okay when I am very pale, ask if I had eaten (as I forget at times), ask if I wanted to eat anything special, even give me a day off from cooking!
He isn't a fussy eater which I am greatly thankful for as I don't have to think if he minds me cooking simple dishes.
Not only that, he had to move to another place to smoke now. Haha.
Oops, gtg. Continue... whenever.

How much have we shared?
As of yesterday, our close friends, both our direct families & thats it.
As of today, many more messages comes in congratulating us.
Terrified but yet glad to have this piece of good news to share.
However, I am still a little skeptical about this.
The fact that we should not share with many people during our first trimester.
Excluding this blog of course - no one seems to be reading it besides myself.
That aside, I have yet to note down the Estimated Due Date which is supposedly 2nd June 2013.
Hoping for a slightly delayed delivery on 5th instead so we could have our little bun's birthday on our Wedding Anniversary date.
Mister was betting against me.
He heard some said little buns may arrive up till 10 days earlier & so he counted which nicely coincides with his birthday.
Well, Mister, keep hoping!

Our first meet, little bun.
Sorry little bun, I have no idea how to tilt the picture here. It looks fine on my PC but not here.
So our first meet, I can see your heartbeat & the nurse was so funny. She didn't tell us what she was gonna focus on and suddenly, she blurted. "There... your baby!" The first reaction I had was to strain my eyes at that monitor & turn towards your father and he was all weepy. It was a moment to remember. Doctor said you are doing great! 7 weeks + 2 days along already. I know this sounds silly but I think with you, many more good things are around the corner.
I am trying to imagine you now. With your father's eyes, eyebrows, my nose, baby skin... ahhh... its still an imaginary road. See you again in 4 weeks my little bun.

Countdown: 7 days
I wish I could express my excitement & you can see my facial expressions as well. Maybe I should make a vlog but hang on... I may need to doll up on every single video. Right? What a hassle. Heh.
So my last few days, been very challenging. You know, I've always thought being pregnant, gets tough only when they start to show. So this is the lesson that I've got. I could hardly go through 12 hours without nap. The on-going headaches are a challenge! When it strikes, it's really really extremely bad. It is called morning sickness but I am lucky in a way as I don't gag ALL the time. Only occasionally.
Don't get me started on the lady lumps!
Mister have been very understanding, fortunately :)
Been helping with laundry & dishes.
To add on to that, he'd been constantly reminding me to eat & take care.
I have no idea how if he's gonna start shifts soon. Hope that it'll be after my first trimester.
A piece of advice from a friend.
To always be happy no matter what.
Now, I could go on & on & on but my body is telling me to rest now. So I shall bid good night. Till next entry.

Countdown : 11 days
11 days to meet my little one for the first time.
Managed to secure the checkup date for the 16th October. Excited & anxious.
None knew of your existence yet my little one but it is not because we don't want to share you, our little miracle, it's just that we think it is best for you to grow as vigorously & strongly before we announce you to the world.
I know you have been growing as Mama feels the crampings & headaches from you. It is okay, just grow well & mama promise to eat healthily. No worries since cup corn is your favourite now :) but you dislike milk so much. You need milk my dear, please have some soon okay?
Both of us can't wait to meet you our little one.

X weeks
I have made a strong guess that I would be about 4 weeks & few days now. But hey, I am no doctor right?
So, ever since Saturday, I had these major headaches where I wish I could just lay in bed.
Plus, yesterday, the lady lumps been having it's pinching tournament. It was and still is sore to the touch!
Literally feels like hanging a sign of "Don't touch these!". Haha.
And the whole of yesterday, I was wondering how to go for a check up cause I want to secure an appointment to hear the tiny little strong heartbeats badly! We intend to just go for KKH instead. You know, being a citizen have its benefits (subsidies = pay a little lesser), who would give it a miss right? Do they have evening clinics at KKH? Man! I really wish I could post this now so that I could have feedback.
So, I wanna try my best to get 'this', which is to enquire if I could have the follow up checks from my current appointments cause otherwise, we'd have to go through polyclinic & have a referral (which I don't favor the LONG wait). Giving KKH a call later & pray for the best.
As of now, I am having this flu, cough, headaches, cramps & sore lady lumps.
Please baby, stick with Mama. I love you even if you're just a small dot now.

We're Pregnant!
Alhamdulillah. All credits to Allah & hubby's neverending prayers that we are finally here. After 2 years & 3 months of marriage, we've gotten the best news. Alhamdulillah! =')
Tears of joy at 6am on Sunday, 30 Sept 2012 when I saw the immediate '+' on the Clearblue home pregnancy test. We've had problem conceiving as I have a polycystic ovarian syndrome which caused an MIA menstrual cycle. I was distraught over the last year as I have come to know many around me managed to conceive without having to try hard.
We've tried homeopathy for 2 months & finally went to infertility clinic at KKH. I had to go through some painful tests to know more about my tubes & chances. Alhamdulillah I was told that the only problem was I was not ovulating. Trust me, it is important. No ovulation = no eggs. Even when you have a regular menstrual cycle, you might not be ovulating. So I was put on Clomifene aka Clomid. 1st cycle, no sign of ovulation. 2nd cycle, ovulated & ta-da! I am 5 days late & Mister bought me a test. Haha.
Don't mind the headaches, the fatigue & cramps. We're Pregnant!
So I shall save this in draft up till we've confirmed the pregnancy & insya'allah when the 2nd trimester comes, I shall reveal. My fingers & lips itches hard.
